A GOOD HEART BY EVERY CHILD'S SIDE

The quiz.
BLFA is a competition for children, a subproject of AFA-Bulgaria Foundation Project - ÀlVi, aiming at humane education of children. The fifth nominations BLFA 2006 "Biggest Little Friend of Animals" will take place in October 2006.

Children from the country aged under 16 may enter the competition.
To qualify for the competition entrants shall send the following materials to AFA's address:
  • Filled-in questionnaire
  • A brief description of their participation in animal protection activities

Artists and guests together on the stage
A committee made up by members of the Management Board of the Foundation evaluates the entrants on the basis of the materials submitted and nominate three of them for each category. For assessment of nominations and selection of winner outside experts join AFA Committee.

The wrap-up event of BLFA is a performance where the awards are announced and presented. Special guests open the envelopes containing the name of the winners. Artists, friends of AFA, entertain the attendees. In addition to the awards for the competition winners, there are awards for those who gave best answers to the questions on environment in the BLFA quiz.

The awarded by AFA Adopter of Stray Animal of the Year is an honourable guest.

The awards to be provided to the entrants in BLFA 2006 competition, as well as the donors for the Awards will be announced at a later stage. AFA awaits the prospective AFA honorary members to join BLFA Family of Donors.

"Biggest Little Friend of Animals" - BLFA motto "A GOOD HEART BY EVERY CHILD'S SIDE" was chosen after a competition announced on Darik Radio in 2002 and was suggested by the 10-year-old Ellie Mehandzhiyska from Sofia.

BLFA Awards are taking place due to the co-operation of Bulgarian and international institutions, local and state executive, private and governmental enterprises, artists, friends of AFA, and of course, the Friends of animals.
